Meet Roxanne Gordey! Founding Member

Roxanne is a local tattooer and multi-disciplinary artist operating under the brand RoxieArt. She has a penchant for performance and is experienced in music and theatre. Roxanne is an avid volunteer in the Grande Prairie arts scene.

Meet Juanita Jordan! Founding Member

Also known as Moth Stone and the Mask Maker! Juanita comes to Cavalcade with a history in theatre and visual arts. She's the owner of The Imaginarium and creates phenomenal pieces of art and wearable art! An avid volunteer throughout the city, an advocate for the inclusion of children with disabilities, and a mama wolf to four amazing kiddos.

Meet Noah Schallhorn! Member since 2023

Noah is a theatre all-rounder through and through.  Their past work includes workshopping "Letters I'll Never Send", playing Dennis in "The Play That Goes Wrong" and writing and directing the one-act plays "Lunch Hour" and "A Walk in the Park". Whether on or off the stage Noah has a passion for performance and building up the local theatre community.

Meet Tahnia Getson! Founding Member

Tahnia has been involved in the ever-changing theatre scene for a decade now. They have their Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from the University of Lethbridge. They're passionate about educating and fostering youth identity and pursuing theatre as a means for social change. Innovation and collaboration are always at the forefront of Tahnia’s mind when working in theatre!

Meet Yax Posas!

Yax has been in Grande Prairie for 14 years, working in Health Care and volunteering with different community organizations. They have been passionate about arts and culture from an early age and have been able to learn and explore human emotions through music, theatre, dance and even martial arts!

Yax is proud of her Mexican roots and believes in the universal language of art: its power to bring people together, to create community, encourage critical thinking and open our eyes to the beauty of the diverse world in which we live in.

Chelsea loves the arts of all kinds! She is a major fan of youth theatre and creation. She enters the Cavalcade board with a love for funky and shiny things.
