Who are you?

My name is Day Chase, and I go by she/they pronouns! I am an artist from Grande Prairie and am currently finishing up my BFA in Dramatic Arts and Cinema. I love performing, creating, drawing, writing, sewing and those rainy days when worms hang out on the sidewalk.

What does community mean to you?

The theatre community for me represents a place to create, play, share love, and be fully you! It’s always a magical thing to be surrounded by like minded and kind people!

What got you started in theatre?

I’ll never forget the first time I auditioned for a play, it was so scary yet so supportive and just the right amount of challenging to get me hooked!

I do think I’d have to thank Tahnia for always having me do more and more theatre and convincing me to dive headfirst into it as a practice.

What are you excited for in the upcoming year?

To see performances in person again! They are just as magical as before, however I am so much more thankful and appreciative of them!

What is a fun fact or story you'd like to share?

This is my favourite joke: How do you introduce a hamburger to someone? Meat patty!!!

What about Cavalcade makes you the most excited?

The opportunity to share innovative, interesting, and inclusive theatre to the Grande Prairie area! I can’t wait to watch our community grow!

If you could write a story about ANYTHING what would it be?

I am currently writing a play about a teapot, a spoon, a garbage can, and their other kitchen friends having a crisis regarding the futility of their existence.
